Hello from rainy Los Angeles! Once again, we’ve had another damp and gray week in LA. I love this weather so much I often wonder if I am living in the wrong city! There were opportunities for me to travel this week, but I stayed home instead, trying to keep my New Year’s resolution. I will be home next week too.
The Tanzania trip report ramped up this week and I trust you have enjoyed it thus far. Tomorrow will feature two posts on my experience in Zanzibar outside the friendly confines of the Park Hyatt. The trip report should be wrapped up by the end of next week and I will then pivot back to the Africa trip report I started before this one.
A terrible shooting in Ft. Lauderdale that killed five people dampened what was otherwise a quiet week in the news. The more details that emerge about the killer, the more I question whether we can collectively solve the problem of violence in America.
