Dinner for Breakfast in Lufthansa First Class Terminal

Last week I had the chance to visit the Lufthansa First Class Terminal (FCT) on our way home from Frankfurt and enjoyed a steak for breakfast.

Though it was only 7am, I decided to order a filet mignon for breakfast. Why not? The FCT always does steak well (as in medium rare, not well done…). Furthermore, I had stayed up the whole night working after an afternoon nap. It didn’t feel like breakfast time.

Indeed, the steak turned out beautifully and somehow my jet-lagged body felt like this was an appropriate late-night dinner. It remained dark outside until after 8am.

The Lufthansa First Class Terminal has a wonderful buffet and á la carte menu, but if you ever feel like comfort food you cannot go wrong with the steak. That did not stop me from having my breakfast favorites, however, like fresh berries as well as a smoothie, freshly-pressed juice, and cappuccino.

The FCT was nicely decorated for Christmas and you know what that means…special edition rubber ducks!

Find out tomorrow how you can win one…I grabbed an extra one and look forward to giving it away.

CONCLUSION

I am undeniably a big carnivore and I appreciate a nicely cut steak. The filet mignon in Lufthansa’s First Class Terminal is a worthy choice.

That steak would be too rare for my taste — I probably would have eaten it anyway — but I would much prefer dinner for breakfast than breakfast for dinner any day of the week.

While I generally dislike LH, I have to admit, I REALLY want to fly in F just to try the FCT…

Next time you’re in DFW, try dinner for breakfast, Texas-style – chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy.

Who is serving CFS in the morning at DFW?

I know that you can get the full Seafood menu at Pappadeaux starting at 09:00!

Sorry, meant “DFW” in the generic sense. My go-to place for CFS for breakfast is Norma’s Cafe, though that’s a bit of a haul from the airport!

Breakfast for dinner can be awfully nice too.

Your breakfast preference cracks me up. The most extreme liquid diet I’ve seen. I’m going to try it soon and see if I can even consume that much.

    That steak looks amazing.

Hi there, I’ve been through FCT several times and did not realize they have the all day menu even out during breakfast.

Do we need to ask them for the (non breakfast) menu as a special request?

You do need to request it. Sometimes they are a bit hesitant, but will always (IME) make an exception…you’re first class or HON after all.
