I enjoyed an afternoon in the Kunsthaus Zürich, Switzerland’s premiere art museum.
Kunsthaus Zürich – A Photo Essay
My wife has cultivated in me a great appreciation for art and I now make it a point to visit art museums in major cities around the world. In Zurich, I was traveling with a friend who also greatly appreciated art and we spent three hours wandering through the Kunsthaus (art house) and taking in not only a number of great paintings and sculptures from masters of the past and present, but also a fascinating
Monet, Picasso, and van Gogh may be the big draws here, but I also appreciated the works of Marc Chagall, Oskar Kokoschka, and Loves Corinth.
Another favorite part of the museum is a room designed by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist that provides an ethereal experience of lights and sounds in a 3D space. Admittedly, the Dadaism works did not catch my eye, but I greatly appreciate this genre of art.
