A passenger on an American Airlines flight from Buenos Aires to Miami was observed frequently walking up and down the aisle and occupying a seat that was not his own, prompting flight attendants to investigate and later report the suspicious activity to ground personnel. The prowling passenger was searched and has now been charged with stealing over $10,000 in cash from his fellow passengers.

Prowling Passenger Swipes $10,000 In Cash From Seatmates On American Airlines Flight

Flight attendants on AA900 traveling from Buenos Aires (EZE) to Miami (MIA) on July 5, 2022 noticed that a passenger named Diego Sebastian Radio was acting strangely:

  • He kept pacing up and down the aisle
  • At one point, he took a seat in an empty seat that was not his own
  • He was observed holding a “female wallet”

A flight attendant discreetly interviewed two passengers nearby and they both confirmed that cash had been stolen from their wallets.

Authorities were alerted and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) officers met the aircraft and interviewed Radio. CBP officers searched his bag and found USD10,732 and 14,320 in Argentine Pesos (wort $110 at official rates) together with two credit cards.

Radio was read his Miranda rights in Spanish, but waived them and confessed to the crime. He has now been charged with theft.

For Radio to draw the attention of an American Airlines flight attendant, I’d imagine he must have been very flagrant is walking up and down the aisle. It’s not wholly unusual to switch seats during the flight and there can be any number of valid reasons for doing so, ranging from a snoring seatmate to a kicking child to a flatus problem nearby.

Last point. The suspicious walking up and down aisle of sounds like this behavior. Except hundreds rushed to defend her conduct as just “exercise” or “getting her steps in.” I’ll be waiting for all of you to make the same defense for Mr. Radio.

CONCLUSION

An American Airlines passengers was busted for stealing cash from his fellow passengers. Flight attendants thought he was acting suspiciously by frequently walking up and down the aisles, which led to more scrutiny and later confirmation that he was on the prowl for cash and credit cards.

And for Mr. Radio:

You forgot to add the origin of the flight. People are starving in Argentina due to a Communist government that has flushed the country’s economy in the toilet. Argentina used to be the Switzerland of Latin America and it now a total dump. Not a reason for him to steal but it is in their minds right now as a way to survive. Sad!!!

“Argentina used to be the Switzerland of Latin America one hundred years ago”. It is evident that you have no knowledge of Latin America at all. The current government is certainly not good, but there is nothing communist about it. Governments and military dictatorships of the extreme right have greatly helped the current situation in Argentina, which continues to be one of the countries with the highest per capita income and development on the continent.
Bolsonaro’s Brazil has nothing communist about it, but it is also destroying the economy and increasing corruption and divisions in the country, with its hate speech.
Anyway, I don’t know why I waste my time trying to explain that to a MAGA brain…

I always thought Uruguay or Costa Rica were the “Switzerland” of Latin America.
