A wife caught her husband cheating. She pleaded with Ryanair to let her change her ticket. But instead, Ryanair just mocked her.
Ryanair Mocks Wife After She Found Her Husband Was Cheating And Tried To Change Flight
After finding out that her husband had cheated on her, a woman (understandably) no longer wanted to go on holiday with her husband. But the ticket was already booked and Ryanair tickets are generally inflexible. So she reached out to Ryanair’s X (Twitter) team to ask if an exception might made.
“@Ryanair hi I booked flights for myself and my husband to go away I’ve just found out his having an affair! Can you refund the flights or at least change my name to his bit on the sides as she’s welcome to him.”
Ryanair responded:
“Emotional baggage costs extra, Karlie.”
Ouch.
Her post went viral and she later deleted it. No refund or name change was permitted.
Of course this is the sort of thing Ryanair’s crack Twitter team is known for. Just a few months earlier a couple proudly announced they had become engaged…onboard a Ryanair flight. Ryanair’s response? It told the bride-to-be to “blink twice for random seat allocation.”

After another Twitter praised the event, Ryanair quipped, “Get her to a location she cannot say no, smart man.”

Just another day in the trenches for Ryanair’s social media team…

Usually I find it extremely cringey when all these corporate twitter accounts give off this “hello fellow kids” vibe, but RyanAir actually does a decent job and is pretty funny!
Trying to engage with RyanAirs twitter team is a big time rookie move
Lol
Diplomacy, grace, and compassion are called for so Ryanair responds with indifference and callous mockery. Sounds about right.
I don’t understand why this person
Would have resorted to Twitter publicly to try to resolve this. Or at all?
Probably just hoping for sympathy from Ryanair, but she certainly contacted the wrong account for that…
Wouldn’t have been much easier for her to simply not show at the airport? I cannot imagine the cost of her ticket was so high it would break her financially. Let the moron fly alone.
Ryanair IG is hilarious. Although, like two weeks ago, the head of the socials team left cryptically in a public resignation that was full of barbs.
