Several years ago, SWISS stopped releasing first class awards to partners on a regular basis, generally reserving that award space only for elite members of its own Miles & More loyalty program. But sometimes the door is temporarily opened…and now is the time. Act fast to scoop up fuel-surcharge free award space in SWISS First Class using Aeroplan miles.
You can find the space on Aeroplan.com. One-way travel between the USA and Western Europe is 70K miles in first class. Fuel surcharges are not collected on SWISS.
Many cities are available to SWISS destinations around the world. Los Angeles is of particular interest to me and I had no trouble finding space on many dates.
Note the dates: there is availability in winter, spring, and summer!

That means for every 1,000 AMEX points you will receive 1,200 Aeroplan points. Considering this is the first ever Aeroplan transfer bonus I’ve ever seen from AMEX, this deal could not come at a better time.
How About Other Star Alliance Programs?
I do not see the space bookable on united.com…that is the only other Star Alliance partner award I have checked. It appears this deal is only valid via Aeroplan.

CONCLUSION
Book now, not later! It is doubtful this space will last. I can also verify (at least for my own bookings), this is NOT phantom space.

they just disappeared again – no Swiss flights in any class showing now…managed to book SFO-ZRH in first, last night and today no more flights available at all for Swiss in any class – another case of Aeroplan making it impossible for people to actually get good value out of their points. What a scam of a program it is and someone really should take them to task for these practices.
