It’s been a great two weeks of traveling (depsite my initial hiccup in BKK), but I am looking forward to getting home tomorrow evening.
I had the next installment of Middle East flight report ready to go as well as a review of the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia, but my brand spanking new MacBook Air (at least that was not stolen on this trip…) is on the fritz. The internet has stopped working, MS Office won’t open, and the computer is randomly crashing. Perhaps I gave up my trusty old Powerbook laptop (seven years young) too soon.
The weather’s bad in NYC, but as of now it looks like everything is on schedule for tomorrow.
Almost sounds like there is an error on the hard drive or other poorly made components. Fortunately it is still in warranty, and you have a good selection of Apple Stores at home
And in all cases use SuperDuper to clone your drive each night as you are charging. If your Mac’s hard drive does crap out you will be able to keep working by booting from the clone and you will lose only the data since your last backup.
