The Trump administration’s limited-edition “Patriot Passport,” initially available only in Washington, D.C., is going nationwide after the State Department says it received “overwhelming public interest.” An additional 250,000 commemorative passports will now be available through special application events across the country.
Trump “Patriot Passport” Expands Nationwide After Overwhelming Demand
Americans across the country will soon have the opportunity to apply for a limited-edition U.S. passport commemorating the nation’s 250th anniversary…and President Donald Trump.
The State Department initially introduced the so-called “Patriot Passport” through the Washington Passport Agency, but says the special design generated enough interest to warrant a nationwide expansion.
An additional 250,000 commemorative passports will now be made available through passport agencies and centers across the United States.
The passport remains a fully valid U.S. travel document with the same security features as a standard passport. The exterior retains the familiar dark blue color, State Department seal, and gold lettering, while the special artwork appears on the covers and inside pages.
The design includes:
- A portrait of President Donald Trump alongside text from the Declaration of Independence on the inside front cover
- An illustration of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration on the inside back cover
- A gold Freedom 250 logo on the exterior back cover
The standard commemorative passport contains 26 pages. Travelers who need the larger 52-page passport book will receive the regular design instead.
How To Apply For A Patriot Passport
Applying for the commemorative design requires an in-person appointment.
Travelers will not receive a Patriot Passport if they:
- Renew online
- Apply by mail
- Apply through an ordinary passport acceptance facility
- Apply at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad
Instead, applicants must visit the Washington Passport Agency or attend one of the State Department’s special 250th anniversary application events.
Events are currently scheduled in cities including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Honolulu, Seattle, and Houston.
Appointments are required and must be arranged by calling the National Passport Information Center. They cannot be booked online.
The normal passport application forms, eligibility rules, fees, and processing times generally apply. Applicants who do not have imminent international travel can still participate, with the completed passport mailed afterward.
The State Department maintains the current list of locations and dates on its official Patriot Passport webpage.
CONCLUSION
The State Department is expanding its commemorative Patriot Passport nationwide after reporting strong public interest in the initial Washington, D.C. release.
The limited-edition passport celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with special artwork featuring President Trump, the Declaration of Independence, the Founding Fathers, and the Freedom 250 emblem.
Applicants must apply in person at the Washington Passport Agency or during one of a growing number of special passport events across the country.

Seems like they produced too many, and demand isn’t high, so they had to expand where it’s ‘offered.’ Sad.
Untrue.
And, fwiw, all of the appointments I attempted to obtain (ATL, MIA, etc) were scheduled in first minutes on first day.
Pardon me. We now are truly ‘great’ again. Hope you get what you want.
As a true Trump fan I’ll say anyone making an appointment just for one of these is an idiot with too much time on their hands.
But never underestimate the stupidly of the average American struggling to make ends meet. There will always be those looking to exploit the reasons they stay poor and broke, I.e. poor financial choices.
This isn’t political, idiots and grifters are on both sides.
Remember, no one plans to fail, they fail to plan.
Very true. Having temporary events in different locations around the country might offer it as keepsake to a wider group
I never underestimate the stupidity of the average US citizen and even if I did, you would reinforce that level of stupidity with every post you make 😉
Says the Eurotrash clown living in a land getting overrun with towelheads.
I hear the demand is especially high among Trump University graduates
Yes, that’s what “people say.”
Aw shucks, I still have a year left on my two-year NZEta. I guess I’ll just have to miss out 🙂
Barf.
Overwhelming. Right. Sure. Got it. Uh huh.
‘Overwhelming Demand’
Well the rest of the world was already laughing at the US over Criminal Trump’s passport. No doubt the scale of demand is ‘fake news’ unless the US is a sicker country than I’ve been giving it credit for thus far.
