United Airlines Pilot Arrested At SFO, Charged For Posting “Revenge Porn” Of His Co-Worker

A United Airlines pilot was arrested at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on suspicion of impersonating his ex-girlfriend, a former co-worker, and posting “revenge porn” images of her online for more than 10 years.

United Airlines Pilot Arrested At Airport On Suspicion Of Revenge Porn Against Ex-Girlfriend, A Work Colleague

Over a decade ago, Andrew Hill, 36, and his girlfriend did not have an amicable break-up.

Hill’s ex-girlfriend told police he had sought revenge by “making online profiles pretending to be her and posting nude images of her for more than a decade.”

According to the probable cause affidavit, a Cedar City woman reported in January that someone had been creating fake profiles purporting to be her online and distributing nude and intimate images of her on adult websites. The woman’s personal phone number was also shared, which led to random men contacting her for sex.

Police in Cedar City, Utah served warrants on mobile phone providers and social media websites and were purportedly able to trace the revenge porn back to Hill’s electronic devices via matching IP addresses.

Ironically, the pilot was placed on a flight to Utah after his arrest at SFO, where he was booked into Utah’s Iron County jail just at around 1:00 am on  Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He faces charges including:

  • pornography distribution
  • unlawful distribution of an intimate image
  • electronic communication harassment
  • stalking and online impersonation

The distribution charge is a felony while the harassment and impersonation charges are misdemeanors. All may carry significant professional consequences.

I don’t know Hill and he is, of course, innocent until proven guilty. But I will also add that if he is petty enough to impersonate his ex-girlfriend online, post naked pictures of her, and even share her real mobile phone number with perverts, it sounds to me like he is UNFIT to fly.

Because I certainly don’t want a spiteful little man piloting my aircraft: such temperament is not fit for the pilot profession…

Pilots CAN HAVE strong temperaments and abusive personalities; not all of course. A few instances I heard of include one in my own family which caused a divorce in my family.

Moral of the story as always…..stop allowing guys to take explicit pictures of you. Or worse, sending them to a guy. If you really believe they won’t share them you are truly naive.

Moral of the story is stop blaming the victim. The type of behavior alleged here would just manifest itself in some other cruel form if the internet were not invented. If pics were not available, AI would provide them. She did nothing wrong. Shame on you.

Sorry “John”, regardless of what you think, this fake moral outrage won’t get you any more p#ssy. Women can see through a weak pandering wimp like you easily. Maybe, just maybe some green haired woke freak at the next rally will say Hi to you with that mentality.

When more people are noticed as ending up behind bars for such behavior, perhaps some sociopaths will be less inclined to make victims of people in this way. But sociopaths being sociopaths are likely to keep racking up victims in one way or another, and in that regard too it’s the sociopath to be blamed and found as being at fault.

        Agreed.

This pilot, if guilty, should never fly again.

        I don’t trust someone that petty in a cockpit…

According to reality TV,the proper way to get back at an ex is to say on social media you can’t repeat the terrible, humiliating and morally debasing acts performed because of an NDA.

Mathew, Title 8 Chapter I Subchapter C Part 316 § 316.10 The pilot must be of Good moral character. There is a long list of lack of morality in this claim. SVP Captain James Graham at Delta perjured himself in Federal Court on numerous accounts. Perjury is a felony, therefore eliminating his right to hold and ATP. (Airline Transport License). But when the government refuses to hold people accountable. Also, under this regulation having an extramarital affair and breaking up a family is called out. I suspect we would lose 10-20% of the pilots for that one. So, yes, this pilot should have his license revoked. But… where is the FAA?

“such temperament is not fit for the pilot profession”

In fact 14 CFR 61.153 states “To be eligible for an airline transport pilot certificate, a person must: … (c) Be of good moral character”

The FAA should pull his ATP certificate.

I have seen enough US airline pilots come into hotels and go into hotel rooms with prostitutes that it’s pretty clear to me that this “good moral character” thing is not commonly enforced in the absence of a formal criminal history with government authorities.

Also, it’s sort of interesting to have this “good moral character” requirement to pilot my US airline flights but not having such a requirement to pilot the country. I guess that is a good thing for those wanting to see Trump elected twice to the White House.

Another stupid open ended free for all punishment.

Moral character, you want a decade of pilot shortage?

I worked with Andrew back when he first started flying. Prior to his United days. He’s had issues at every airline. A quick google search produced this article. I’m happy to see he was sentenced appropriately.
