American Airlines Adds New Flights at LAX

Matthew Klint Posted onAugust 27, 2013December 9, 2016 2 Comments

American Airlines is growing at Los Angeles International and today the carrier will begin service to five new cities:

  • Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Hartford, Connecticut
  • Bentonville, Arkansas

Earlier this year AA began serving Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina and Eugene and Redmond, Oregon from Los Angeles and this November AA will begin non-stop service to West Palm Beach from LAX. In December, service between Los Angeles and Sao Paulo, Brazil will begin.

United Airlines still leads the pack, in terms of overall traffic at Los Angeles, but both Delta and American are expanding and if the US Airways – American merger proceeds, American will position itself to be the dominant carrier.
