I enjoyed a trio of great cups of coffee during my brief stay in In San José Del Cabo. There are many coffee shops here, but I found three great ones.
Best Coffee In San José Del Cabo
The first place was where I got my early morning coffee was Abreojos. Located right around the corner, just a block, from the Hyatt Place, this certainly beat the hotel coffee…
Abreojos Café
México 1, Zona Hotelera

7:00 am – 2:00 pm (Monday – Saturday)
8:00 am – 1:00 pm (Sunday)
The café features outdoor seated (partially covered) in a nice garden setting. There’s a small stall where the coffee is made. Pastries and more substantial meals are also available (think avocado toast or French Toast).
My flat white was superb…a wonderful way to start my day.
I ordered a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice with breakfast, but was told that the oranges were sour this time year. I don’t actually mind sour oranges, but skipped it.
Note of the three coffee ships I visited, this was the only one open on Sundays.
A couple hours later I took a cab into town to try two more coffee shops. First I stopped at Coffee Lab.

Coffee Lab was probably my favorite of the three, though I truly enjoyed all three. I also loved the mural painted on the wall adjacent to the shop.
Here, fresh-squeezed orange juice was on the menu and was quite sweet…though it was served with ice. Is that a thing in Mexico?
My cortado was perfect.
For my last stop, I walked up to Los Tamarindos, which I had noted while walking around the town square the previous evening.

The cafe is in a cool venue with a mature tree inside another semi-outdoor seating area.
I ordered another cortado and quite enjoyed it sitting at the bar. Coffee was processed on site, with a big red machine sitting adjacent to the bar.
CONCLUSION
All three coffee shops showcase that the weather tends to be nice year-round here. I enjoyed all three, would return to all three, and was quite thankful to find a trio of great cafés while in San José del Cabo.
Did I miss any? What is your favorite place for coffee in San José Del Cabo (or even Cabo San Lucas)?
Hi Matthew, I enjoyed reading this.
Thanks Kathy!
How does excess coffee affect the stomach ? Can it cause acute gastritis ?
I hope not, as I drink three cups a day!
@Matthew … Yes , hope not . It is terrible ( gastritis ) , I was hospitalized for gastritis ( brought on by stress ) , and it was debilitating as well as painful . Please cut back to a lesser amount .
