A Delta passenger who claimed to be denied boarding for taking part in the U.S. Capitol insurrection actually just refused to wear a mask.
Delta Passengers Banned For Mask Compliance, Not Sedition
There’s viral video making its way around the internet showing a sobbing man at Washington National Airport claiming he was kicked off Delta for taking part in violent extremism earlier in the week (caution – foul language):
People who broke into the Capitol Wednesday are now learning they are on No-Fly lists pending the full investigation. They are not happy about this. pic.twitter.com/5GfHo1eVU8

The passenger laments:
“This is what they do to us. They kicked me off the plane. They called me a f*cking terrorist, and they f*ckin’ want to ruin my life!”
Actions, have consequences, but in this case, something else was going on.
If you’re on the “No Fly List” you cannot check in for your flight. You need a boarding pass in order to clear security at National Airport. Clearly, this passenger had one or else he would not have been in the gate area, where the video above was filmed.
And the video above was taken from TikTok. As View from the Wing notes, that original TikTok video came with the following description: Homeboy had a full toddler level meltdown bc he was told to wear a mask.
So there you have it. A much more likely explanation is that the passenger simply failed to wear his mask correctly, as can be seen in the video above. It’s not enough to wear it around your neck.
I’m against “No Fly Lists” and view them as dangerous and unconstitutional. Those who engaged in sedition at the U.S. Capitol last week should be brought to justice…a flight ban is not the appropriate remedy. Jail time is.
So false alarm about new inductees to the “No Fly List.” Per the original eyewitness, the man simply did not want to wear a mask. What a melodramatic story after all…
