Like its sister lounge in the international terminal, the Garuda Indonesia domestic lounge in Bali Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) is not a lounge I would arrive early for, but offers a basic selection of food and drinks plus restrooms and showers.
Garuda Indonesia Domestic Lounge Bali Review (DPS)
The domestic terminal at DPS is clean, but fairly spartan. Finding a seat with a power outlet can be challenging, making this lounge particualrly valuable if you find yourself in the terminal with a long layover.
I was traveling from Dili to Jakarta via Bali and had five hours of transit in DPS.
Let me say at the outset, though, that I found the Blue Sky Premier Lounge (a Priority Pass lounge), a much better lounge.
Hours + Access + Location
The Garuda Indonesia Lounge is located near Gate 1C (past security).

As you enter the lounge, you’ll see adverts from Garuda’s heyday on the outside…its first class route network has shrunk dramatically in recent years.

The lounge is theoretically open from 4:00 am to 2:00 am daily, but closes after the last Garuda domestic departure, which is generally closer to 11:00 pm. Access is available to:
- Garuda Indonesia Business Class passengers (no guests)
- GarudaMiles Platinum/Gold members (+1 guest)
- SkyTeam Elite Plus members (+1 guest)
You can also purchase access for IDR 331,900 (about 20 USD) if you are flying economy class on Garuda Indonesia, which may be a good value if you are hungry.

Seating
The lounge has seating spread over two levels, though the upper level was closed during my visit (and in fact, may remain closed at all times). That made the downstairs seating area fairly crowded, but I had no trouble finding a seat. Seats are clustered around the food and drink area, which is in the center of the lounge.

Food + Drink
The food spread is quite respectable for this small lounge, which a variety of hot food like boiled egg with Pindang sauce, Tempeh, chicken with soy sauce, and sautéed vegetables, a salad bar, a noodle bar with both Italian-style and East Asian noodles, soup, sandwiches, fruit, fried fish and bananas, plus cakes and brownies.

In terms of drinks, I saw no bar and no alcohol at all (and it was not Ramadan during my visit). There was only coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks.

Smoking
Smoking is very prevalent in Indonesia and very accessible in Bali Airport, especially in the domestic terminal. The lounge has a large patio intended for smokers, with a row of tables and chairs.

Restrooms + Showers
Restrooms and a shower suite are available.

CONCLUSION
While not an exciting lounge, this isn’t a bad lounge either…it was clean, there was a decent selection of food, and it certainly beats the terminal area.

A paper towel dispenser between two urinals… man, Garuda has thought of everything! LOL.
1990, In Indonesian culture especially Muslim, after using the urinal a man would clean himself with water or hand towel. Hence the hand towel dispenser.
