First Look: United Airlines Opens 33,000-Square-Foot Lounge In Denver (And Polaris Lounge Is Coming)

United Airlines just reopened its B West United Club in Denver, completing its lounge renovation project in the Mile High City and offering travelers even more space and amenities in its Rocky Mountain hub.

United Debuts B West Lounge In Denver, Teases Polaris Lounge

Denver International Airport now has a fourth United Club location, as United Airlines unveiled a fully refurbished two-story lounge on the west side of the B Concourse near gate B32. The new space spans 33,000 square feet and can seat over 600 passengers, bringing United’s total club seating capacity in Denver to more than 1,600 across nearly 100,000 square feet of space.

This newest club joins the already-open United Clubs in Concourse A, the east side of Concourse B, and the grab-and-go United Club Fly.

United’s latest Denver lounge embraces a Colorado-inspired theme, reflecting the natural textures, colors, and atmosphere of the Rocky Mountains in the summer. Design elements include locally sourced artwork curated by NINE dot ART, with murals, sculptures, and photography contributed by eight Colorado-based artists. One mural, hand-painted by Denver artist Markus Puskar, celebrates Colorado wildflowers.

Inside, guests will find:

  • Two levels of seating with over 600 total seats
  • Two premium bars
  • Seasonal buffet dining (such as summer vegetable frittata, black bean corn salad, and artichoke bake)
  • High-speed Wi-Fi and wellness rooms
  • Self-scan entry for seamless access

United’s Managing Director of Hospitality Programs, Aaron McMillan, noted, “Passengers will love our newest United Club in Denver, giving them more space, premium amenities and a sense of place during their travel journey.”

More To Come: Polaris Lounge Still Ahead

The new club opening is part of United’s nearly $1 billion investment in Denver since 2021. The carrier now averages over 550 daily departures from DEN and serves more international destinations than any other airline in the city’s history.

And this isn’t the final lounge chapter. United confirmed that design has begun on a new United Polaris Lounge in Denver, which will eventually join Polaris locations in Chicago, Newark, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles. This would mark the seventh and final domestic Polaris Lounge in the U.S. once complete (no opening date yet). CEO Scott Kirby spilled the beans on the new Denver Polaris Lounge at a press conference in 2023.

United also plans to open its largest-ever United Club in Houston and a new club in San Francisco in 2026. Earlier this year, it debuted a revamped Polaris lounge in Chicago and an expanded dining room in Newark, plus a new Club Fly in Houston. A new lounge is also coming to Washington Dulles.

CONCLUSION

United’s lounge footprint in Denver continues to grow, with the opening of its most expansive club yet. Whether you’re stopping in for a full meal, a drink, or just a quiet space to work, the new United Club near gate B32 looks great and should help to alleviate crowding in the other lounges. And with a Polaris Lounge (finally) on the way, United continues to invest full premium travel experience at its fastest-growing hub. I’m looking forward to visiting the new lounge. I wiah they’d do the same for their clubs at IAD.

Very, very nice! Similar layout to B East but seems to have a more serene and softer atmosphere. I love the black and white wildflower wallpaper and the pops of color. My favorite is still the United Club on A concourse but this is quite lovely. Most of all, I hope this helps with the overcrowding and congestion- I’ll take any of these as long as there’s a place to actually sit and be comfortable.

“pops of colour” don’t make my day . Sydney Sweeney would make my day .

Good place to stop on the way from anyplace to somewhere .

For example , from Newark or Washington to Hawaii , stop in Denver and San Francisco for the Terminal food .

Seating for 600 might be too many for people that value privacy. Me. Sure there’s banked flight times that will be more uncomfortable, but as a single woman I find this uncomfortable. Unwanted attention from lounge lizards is not what women want. Ooh. Maybe one day we could have the lady’s lounge, a smaller quiet space?

Love the new designs, but United genuinely needs to step up its lounge game by renovating outstations/adding new airports. I mean just look at how beautiful the sky clubs look in places like CLT ORD and FLL. Night and day to UA clubs in places like FLL and SEA.

I haven’t even been bothering with the B lounge that was open. I just stop in A lounge then leave a little early for B flight.

Maybe this will thin out the B lounges with 2 open but I doubt it will help much.

UCs seem to be largely at capacity for the ones I frequent. Not sure much can be done except reducing CC perks and upping membership price.
