United Airlines has partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue to provide bedding in its new Polaris business class. This week, the partnership is on full display in the windows of the department store’s flagship Manhattan store.

Walk by Saks and you’ll be met by a United fuselage, beautifully dressed passengers, FAs, and the new Polaris product.

Saks Fifth Avenue reportedly has to remove its storefront windows in order to get the Polaris seat inside. The United will display will run until January 22, 2017.

United’s new Polaris seat will debut on the Boeing 777-300ER. The first flight is scheduled for February 16, 2017 from Newark to San Francisco.

Is it just me or has UA finally crossed the trying-too-hard line? Not even a fraction of the fleet has Polaris. They JUST opened the first Polaris Lounge. Saks isn’t even known for high-end bedding, so the partnership is already awkward to begin with. United isn’t a passenger favorite for having good crews or soft product. And Polaris’ hard product is basically industry-standard, at best. I think United’s almost doing itself a disservice by shoving it down our throats when most things they do end in disappointment.
