A US Airways flight from Newark to Phoenix was diverted to Pittsburgh yesterday after a dog got loose in the cabin and promptly bit a passenger and a flight attendant.
The stupid dog owner was supposed to keep "Bowser" in its cage under her seat, but poor little Bowser is such a wonderful dog that the passenger determined it was alright to take him out and play with him.
Because the injuries from the dog bite were not readily apparent, the Captain elected to divert to PIT.
Seriously, US Airways need to send this passenger the bill–it’s not cheap to land a plane and have to find alternate flights for passengers who may have missed their connections in Phoenix. This was no accident: the woman deliberately removed her dog from its carrier, against US Airways regulations, and needs to pay up for her poor choice.
