Los Angeles International is home not just to one private jet terminal, but many. My Delta Private Jet flight departed out of the Signature Flight Support terminal. Here’s a review of the terminal.
Signature Flight Support LAX Location
It was a little tricky to find this place, though not bad if you know what to expect. It is located on 6201 West Imperial Highway, meaning you if are driving on I-105, you get off on Nash, turn right on Imperial Highway, then fairly quickly you’ll turn off into what looks like a parking area for semi trucks. Follow the signs and you’ll soon reach the Signature Flight Support terminal.
This FBO (fixed-based operator) provides aeronautical services including fueling, passenger handling, and parking for Delta’s private jet division.
Just pull up and you can park in front of the terminal like you are flying out of a tiny airport. There are no attendants, tickets, or meters.

Inside, you’ll be welcomed by a front desk attendant or as in my case, the captain himself, who was just waiting for Augustine and me to show up.
Limited amenities are available including light snacks (popcorn, cookies), water, and coffee. Soft drinks can be purchased. Free magazines are also on offer.
There’s a main waiting area with about a dozen seats, and an office area to the side with printing and computers available.
Restroom facilities feel more public than private (doors on stalls), but there are extra amenities like warmed shaving creme available…gotta look good when you fly private.
Of course there are no TSA checkpoints or any sort of security checks, though the terminal does make an officer available for passport control and customs clearance for international arrivals.
Lastly, National offer car pick-up and drop off at this other FBOs. Reserve in advance and an attendant will be waiting with your car.
CONCLUSION
This terminal reminded me of my days of flying school in which we’d fly to little airports along the Eastern Seaboard and stop to refuel before turning back. It’s cute in that it’s a tiny, private, quiet, area in a huge and bustling airport.

Nice. Seems like the right balance of amenities given most folks likely spend almost no time in the terminal (after all, the advantage of private is that they leave as soon as you arrive).
Summed it all up perfectly, Matthew. I recall those private flight events, both this review and that onboard the aircraft, very well. You’ll need to do this again for Augustine when he’s a bit older, so he can remember it all!
