A Touch of Dignity at SFO

Matthew Klint Posted onDecember 23, 2016December 23, 2016 Leave a Comment

This is one of the busiest travel weeks of the year and San Francisco Airport was particularly busy when I passed through Wednesday afternoon. But above the din of voices and boarding announcements was not a canned holiday soundtrack but the sweet melody of a two-piece violin ensemble.

Violin Duo SFO

I wrote about the LAX TSA Chorus singing Christmas Carols last year and while that was nice, there was something so graceful and calming about two violins playing classical music. Focusing on that drowned out all the other sounds.

Some travelers stopped to watch. Many whipped out cameras. Some had children with them. But most just went about their business and smiled as they walked by. It was that kind of moment. A beautiful moment.

I am a total sucker for stuff like this and I appreciate the EOS Ensemble taking time to brighten my day and the day of many passengers this week traveling through SFO.
