I had a very pleasant stay at the Park Hyatt Dubai and want to specifically highlight what Executive Suite guest rooms look like as well as the tremendous breakfast at Brasserie du Park.
This property has not changed much since I first reviewed it in 2011 and again in 2017. Both of those reviews are still relevant and also provide more details on general amenities at the hotel. Here, I’ll focus on what has changed or what was new for me.
A suite was not proactively offered, but I requested one at check-in and was assigned a Park Executive Suite, which is considered a premium suite. It was not any larger than the Park Suite I had last time, but it did have beautiful high ceilings. I appreciated the upgrade, because this went above and beyond the hotel’s obligation to me (or any other Globalist member).
A couple wide-angle shots to demonstrate the high ceiling of this ground-floor suite:
I already raved about the mansaf yesterday, but do want to give another shout-out to chef for making us a wonderful, custom dish.
Superb Breakfast
Last time, I complained about the breakfast. This time, breakfast was a highlight. Breakfast is no longer served in Cafe Arabesque, but in the newly-remodeled Brasserie du Park. Not only was the dining room beautiful, but the buffet even larger than before, with better quality ingredients than before. I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with all my favorites. The pastries and bread were especially fresh and delicious.
But do you know what was the best part of breakfast? The French Toast…it was the best French Toast I’ve ever had…and I’ve had some wonderful pain perdu. Service also shined in the restaurant, both from the wait staff and the kitchen staff. Everyone was very friendly.
Sauna + Steam Room
I finally had time to check out the sauna and steam room and appreciated that I had it all to myself. Probably not all that many takers during the hot Dubai summers…
CONCLUSION
After a disappointing visit last time, I was glad to enjoy an excellent visit this time around. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel, especially now that the breakfast has gone from a disappointment to a highlight. I appreciate how this hotel takes care of Globalists but it appeared to me that this hotel takes care of everyone.
Hyatt has a good reputation but its room design is so placid and plain. The World of Hyatt credit card was a nice addition but I transferred my points to airlines after looking at all the 5 star hotels in the Hyatt portfolio and finding only the Park Hyatt Vienna as the only room design I like and maybe Sydney.
Those are some great expectations. Overall, even when Hyatt doesn’t have the best rooms, I find the service to be far better for top-tier members than Marriott or Hilton.
YES. The French Toast was amazing.
Did you get to try out or see the new lagoon-style pool they recently opened there? If so, I’d be interested in your thoughts about it.
Park Hyatt Dubai has regretfully changed their french toast…it’s now a shell of its former self
