I don’t watch the Ellen Show. Heck, I don’t even have a TV in my home, but when I saw this video today I had to laugh.

United Basic Economy is coming soon and Ellen has a field day poking fun at what this means for travelers:

    Ellen Degenerate and hilarious do not belong in the same sentence.

    While I blame a lot of the misunderstanding on United’s Communications team, I can’t believe how many people get the basic facts of Basic Economy wrong. Sorry Ellen, luggage can go in the overhead compartment, it’s just that full-size carry-ons won’t be allowed in Basic Economy unless the user has a co-brand card or is elite.
