Video: Typhoon Lifts 747-400 Into Air

Have you ever been in a terrible storm while flying? I wrote about my dance with death on Malaysian Airlines but I suspect that storm had nothing on Typhoon Soudelor, which hit Taiwan hard last week. Check out this video of a China Airlines Cargo 747-400 being lifted off the ground:

Admittedly, I am not expert in aerodynamics, but this is quite a sight! Glad I am in dry, arid Los Angeles this week…

    Have I ever been in a bad storm on a plane? Thankfully, no! Living on the southern fringe of Tornado Alley, we get plenty of scary ones just to watch from the couch.
