Poor Alec Baldwin was delayed nearly seven hours yesterday on his Air Canada flight from Newark to Vancouver. Even so, it seems a bit odd that he would blame global warming and wonder “why are US airlines so sh*tty?” when he was flying the flag carrier of Canada…
Alec Baldwin Faces Mega Delay On Air Canada
As I can personally attest, a series of thunderstorms and a host of air traffic control issues have wreaked havoc on the operations of many carriers across the East Coast, including at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Yesterday, Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin was flying in business class on Air Canada on flight AC547 from Newark (EWR) to Vancouver (YVR). Like so many others, Baldwin faced a long delay in reaching his destination.
In a pair of posts on Instagram, including selfies from his business class seat, Baldwin lamented the long delay, blaming it on global warming.

And while climate change is a very real concern, I’m not sure the usual summer storms which pummeled the Atlantic region are proof of global warming.
He also took a moment to take a jab at US airlines, even though it was Air Canada he was traveling on.

Well, his delay was actually only 6.5 hours, but I bet it felt longer and he’s just like any other traveler who would be fed up with a rolling delay. But I do wonder why he would use this moment to take a jab at US airlines. Contrary to popular opinion, Canada is not the 51st state, but a sovereign nation with a number of its own airlines.
So blaming US airlines is about as strange as blaming Mexican or Irish airlines for the delay.
CONCLUSION
Celebrity or not, delays stink. I think we can all relate to Baldwin’s anger over sitting on an aircraft, even in business class, for over 6.5 hours before the plane even takes off. But blaming US carriers for an Air Canada delays strikes me as almost as strange (though not quite) as blaming global warming. Remember, summer storms have always been a thing.
Poor guy. AC does not have a lounge at EWR at the moment which would have made matters worse.
Blaming everything on climate change is how one stays in the good graces of the woke demo’s, and allows him to skate totally free after shooting and killing some poor woman on his movie set.
Climate change became the excuse for losers. If he is going to Canada he should ask their dictator wannabe about how he is treating the climate. The guy screams at the Amazon fires but forgets to watch his own ass. Canada is burning and we cannot even leave our houses here in the US because all the smoke they are sending to us. It has been one of the most miserable summers ever where kids are not allowed to stay outside, outdoor activities are cancelled and your eyes and throat will suffer if you stay outside. But instead of assuming his horrible policies to manage forests it is easier to blame climate change.
Nah, climate change is just common sense.
Oh, finally we agree on something!! The climate has been changing since the world started. So, nothing new.

• Differentiate between US and Canadian airlines
• Correctly spell the work “Affect”
• Run a safe movie set as a producer
• Safely handle a firearm
• Be a decent human being
• Take responsibility for anything
I agree with you, but wish you had left out #2 (since you ironically have “work” instead of “word”), Also “affect” is not a spelling error. He just doesn’t know his nouns from his verbs.

Canada harms Americans. Americans are banned from buying residential property in Canada and also taxed if they own it already and don’t rent it out, even if they use it often. Canada is a bad and hateful country. They hate America but most Americans don’t know about it. They even got Baldwin to hate American carriers even though AC is at fault.

Much of the mess at EWR is down to UA, so some blame can go to US airlines.

What a goof. Everyone knows you fly CX between metro NYC and YVR. Why would you ever fly a US Carrier like AC.
Sadly, that route is just a relic of the past and will not return.
I loved that route, you were able to fly on an international carrier on a 747 – YVR – JFK. It was a hidden gem. So was Philippine airlines YVR – LAS.
