Review: Etihad Premium Lounge Abu Dhabi (AUH)

The Etihad Premium Lounge in Abu Dhabi Terminal 3 is expansive with comfortable seating and good food.

I’m going to limit this review to mainly photos because they paint a holistic portrait of this lounge, but a few thoughts.

  • This lounge is open 24/7
  • It is intended for business class passengers, since first class passengers have a dedicated lounge.
  • Etihad Guest Gold members also have access
  • Food and drink are tasty
  • The lounge empties out after 2:00AM, but food/drink are available all night
  • The lounge includes:
    • Prayer room and ablution
    • Shower rooms
    • Relaxation area
    • Smoking room
    • Family room
    • Business center

When I was there, Etihad had a “Shave & Style” facility that offered haircuts, shaves, manicures, and pedicures. As a cost-cutting move, Etihad eliminated the facility since my visit…another step down the road of “death by a thousand cuts”.

While the “Shave & Style” facility is closed, the Six Senses Spa remains and offers treatments to passengers. These treatments are not on a complimentary basis for business class passengers (spa menu here) and are frankly a poor deal.

CONCLUSION

Just to note, if you are traveling to the USA in first or business class there is a separate lounge past the pre-clearance control…it’s a smaller lounge, but offers similar food and seating. Since the “Shave & Style” facility is now closed and the spa is a poor value, I don’t see a reason to delay going through passport control if you are flying to the United States.
