SWISS has unveiled beautiful new Business Class and Senator lounges for short-haul passengers at Zurich Airport.
The new Lounge Center A opened earlier this month and is intended to make passengers feel “genuinely” at home.
The design and interior of both the new lounges also follow the example of the existing Dock E complex: with their bright oiled-Swiss-oak parquet floors and their elegant furniture from such top Swiss designers as Vitra and deSede, the new lounges offer both a consistent SWISS-style look and a living-room ambience in which every SWISS premium traveller should feel genuinely at home.
Indeed, the lounge looks a lot like the new first class lounge right down the hall as well as the beautiful lounges near the E gates.
Additional lounge amenties include:
- Traditional check-in desk along or automated boarding gates to quickly allow entrance into the lounge
- Swiss-made furniture
- Five shower suites
- Individual “offices”
- “Market Hall” style food area with open kitchen
- Relaxation room
- Bar
- Two outdoor smoking areas
Opening hours are daily from 5:30AM to 10:30PM.

CONCLUSION
The new lounge center looks amazing. I hope to head through Zurich soon and provide a review.

By chance my wife and I will be there next Sunday (thanks again lifemiles and the availability on star alliance!! -Forget even trying on AA).
I have a 90 min connection arriving from Ord and heading to Schengen zone. This will be the lounge to visit I believe?
Thanks for the intro!
Very Qantas First lounge.
@Mick yes this is where you would go.
Just went to the lounge last weekend soon after it opened. It’s a very nice space, but it is also very crowded in the afternoon. If you have a chance to access the E Gates lounge, that would always be the better choice.
Here is my review:

Thanks Teja! I am arriving from the USA so I assume can’t go straight to the E gate lounge. It’s a Sunday so hopefully less crowded.
Looking forward to some of those movenpick ice creams you mentioned!!!
@Mick – Since you are arriving on a flight from ORD, you would go to the A Gates lounge because Passport COntrol is at Zurich and E Gates lounge is beyond passport control. Just wanted to clarify. Enjoy your trip and safe travels!
Makes sense. Appreciate your reply!
