Raving Woman Rips Off Flight Attendant’s Uniform With Her TEETH On Raucous United Airlines Flight From Miami

An angry woman went berserk on a United Airlines flight from Florida, attacking flight attendants, biting off the epaulet of one’s uniform, and screaming at the cabin with a volley of profanities and even a death threat.

United Airlines Passenger Bites Uniform Of Flight Attendant As She Restrained For Poor Behavior On Miami – Newark Flight

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, United Airlines flight 762 took off from Miami (MIA) bound for Newark (EWR). But moments after it climbed into the air, a disturbance broke out onboard. Per TMZ, the woman spit at one passenger and threw a punch at another. The woman began screaming and was restrained by the flight attendants onboard the 737-900 aircraft with flexcuffs (zip ties). This prompted her to bite into the uniform of one of the flight attendants, a bite which pulled off a portion of his shoulder epaulet.

Video shows her continuing to scream after being restrained, hurling profanities at the packed passenger cabin and threatening to kill one woman after telling her to “go back to Russia.”

Here’s the video first shared with TMZ in which all profanity has been censored (the uncensored version is available via the link above):

The flight diverted to Orlando (MCO) where the passenger was arrested. The crew chose not to go on, with the flight delayed for two hours while another crew was located. It finally arrived in Newark 3 hours and 33 minutes behind schedule.

The woman has not yet been identified.

A United Airlines spokesperson offered the following commentary:

“United flight 762 from Miami to Newark stopped in Orlando on Tuesday evening after a passenger became aggressive and disruptive. Our flight attendants worked to de-escalate the situation and protect other customers and after landing in Orlando, law enforcement met the flight, and the passenger was removed. We’re grateful to our team for their professionalism and for looking out for the safety of our customers and their fellow United employees.”

It’s easy enough to say that 1.) she was mentally disturbed and therefore 2.) such a story should not be covered. But she doesn’t sound “crazy” to me (as in mentally challenged). Instead, she sounds angry. She sounds sassy. She sounds like she knows exactly what she is saying.

I’m not going to speculate further what triggered this…I am expecting more passenger videos and stories to emerge in the days ahead. But when she rants about the flight attendants not respecting her, it’s just an important reminder (as I learned myself) that if you want to stay onboard a flight and feel offended, you better keep your mouth shut.

Maybe the flight attendant was wearing a Palestinian flag pin

Was shocked this morning to find out it was a UA flight. Like everyone else, I was betting on Spirit, Frontier and Allegiant.

This is an airline/travel blog, not a space for political screeds or diatribes of any persuasion – Trump/Biden; Israel/Palestine; whatever.

You pay big money for getting your clothes ripped off by someone’s teeth in many places.

This is why masks are helpful. Spit guard, muzzle, muffler and occasionally offering protection from a diseased human.

Can’t help but add my own:

Instead of a biet, this woman should go on a diet 🙂

Some people should stay home. Until FA press charges? This will continue.

Maybe all she needed was a Snickers bar. It worked for Betty White.

Another sterling example of why we need a more robust no-fly list.

Stay off those drugs, kids. Unless you want to end up on a TMZ vid.
