While tobacco cigarettes, pipes, and cigars won’t be returning to U.S. airlines anytime soon, new technology has made it possible to re-introduce "smoking flights" with little or no discomfort to non-smoking and smoke-adverse passengers.
This blurb provides little constructive information, but I have to say that I am not opposed to airlines allowing smokeless (what you see in the video below is water vapor), odorless (that’s key), faux-cigarettes that help passengers addicted to nicotine get through a long flight.
As I’ve stated before, I think many airport smoking policies are in need of re-evaluation, and while I don’t place this issue in the same category of concern, I just don’t see a problem with allowing these sorts of devices and maybe even allowing the airlines to make some money off them during BOB and duty free sales.

As a former smoker, I’m all for it, but you’d have to educate the masses not to overreact when they see one of these e-cigarettes. Can you imagine the people hysterically ringing a flight attendant call button advising, “They’re smoking onboard!!”
My method to survive uber long hauls was to wear a patch, but thankfully I no longer need to stress about smoking. Ahhh.
It isn’t a cigarette. It isn’t set afire. It is odorless. Is there a regulation against it? Smok’em if you got’em. — a non-smoker.
The vapor being smoked is between 60 to 85% propylene glycol (radiator fluid) and 2-3% nicotine not water vapor. The ‘smoke” is an atomized solution and not a gaseous vapor. If you have no problem breathing nicotine and radiator fluid then you should have no problem sitting next to someone smoking one of these e-cigs.
The FDA has classified these e-cigs as drug delivery devices. The neat thing about these devices if you are a drug user is that you can replace the nicotine in the e-cig with the poison of your choice.
If your are down wind of one of devices in a plane or else where you might be making more than one trip.
Why does it even NEED to emit smoke/water vapor? If it didn’t do that, I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

The elicit drug modification is just an obvious modification to the refillable tip. People already lace their cigarettes with various drugs.
Would you expect the nonregulated manufacturers to tell you that you are breathing acetonitrile , ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol; carcinogens???
Propylene glycol is not that toxic (it is the so called non toxic radiator fluid) but you are inhaling it directly into your lungs which I can not imagine to be good for you.

Yes. Just squirt the noxious solution into the smokers mouth. The amount of nicotine these devices deliver is 20-50 MICROGRAMS (28.4 grams to an ounce; one million micrograms to the gram) per puff.
But then you wouldn’t look cool (or what ever the word people mindlessly strive to be these days).
