Meltdown: Woman Screams For “The Manager Of The Airport” After Gate Scuffle

A woman screamed for “the manager of the airport” after a scuffle at an American Airlines airport gate with a police officer. But a witness said the woman breached the secure door and deserved to be restrained.

Woman Screams For “The Manager Of The Airport” During Meltdown In DFW

The video, posted on TikTok, has been viewed nearly three million times. Please be warned, the language is crude and foul. I post it for context, but understand it is not safe for work or children.

@kevdurio19Indianapolis airport 😂😂😂😂😂 ##karen ##fypシ ##wtf ##calmdown ##airport ##911 ##crazydance ##viral ##mom ##trend♬ original sound – Kevin Durio

While the TikTok user claims this happened at Indianapolis, Gate E38A is a giveaway this happened at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) instead (Charlotte, another American hub, also has a Gate E38A, but you can see the “DFW” logo on a luggage cart in the gate area).

So what happened? It isn’t clear, but Teri Ann (she identifies herself in this way) is seen on the other side of the glass complaining that she was placed in a choke hold by the airport police officer.

She appeals to passengers in the gate area to back her up, but no one does. Instead, one tells her she got what she deserved by “running through the door when you weren’t supposed to.”

It seems to me the police are quite restrained in the video…

CONCLUSION

I have a hard time referring to her as “Airport Karen” when her name is Teri Ann, but based upon the context we have it seems that her outrage was misplaced and calling for the manager of the airport…priceless.

(H/T: Kyle texted me the video last night…I see many have already covered it)

I mean yea, if she went through the door when she wasn’t supposed to, that is something the airport police should deal with.

At the same time—and yea, it applies to white people, too—if the cop put that lady in a chokehold or slammed her to the ground, that’s excessive.

“I have a hard time referring to her as “Airport Karen””

    Maybe Airport Super Karen instead?

She mistakenly thought she heard a dinner bell on the other side of the door.

Maybe “Airport Psychotic” (whose meds need adjustment).

White woman put in a choke hold for doing the wrong thing: no one gives a damn; black man gets put in a ckoke hold for doing the wrong thing, dies; the family gets to meet the President.
Really, both should be condemned as excessive and unnecessary force ( in the latter, murder).
Police should be using the minimum necessary force to contain the situation: not, as in this case, half throttling a middle aged Mom because she inadvertently went through a wrong door.

You just can’t fix stupid, and this country is full of these clueless, entitled mental-midgets.
Ban her for life from flying across the board.

Sometimes the biggest hurt comes when someone thinks that the rules don’t apply to them…. then learns that they do!
