United Returns to Anchorage this Summer from Denver, Chicago, and San Francisco

Matthew Klint Posted onJanuary 13, 2010 Leave a Comment

United announced today they will be returning to ANC this summer from three of their hubs: SFO, DEN, and ORD.

Weekly Saturday service from Chicago will resume on May 22. From June 9 – August 30, UA will offer daily service from Denver, Chicago, and San Francisco. An additional roundtrip flight will operate between Chicago and Anchorage on Saturdays.

UA 431 ORD-ANC: 9:45am – 1:17pm 757
UA 498 ANC-ORD: 8:22pm – 5:20am 757

UA 806 SFO-ANC: 3:50pm – 7:32pm 757
UA 565 ANC-SFO: 2:15pm – 8:01pm 757

UA 701 DEN-ANC: 6:10pm – 9:45pm A319
UA 894 ANC-DEN: 11:50pm – 6:57am A319

From September 4 – September 25 UA will return to a once weekly (Saturday) service from Chicago.

I am glad to see UA return to ANC. Alaska is one of six U.S. states I have not visited so I hope to take advantage of one of these flights during the summer. It is also nice to see a large Star Alliance presence in ANC. UA will join US Airways and Continental who already fly into ANC.

With 757s running from ORD and SFO and UA’s new complimentary upgrade program beginning later in the year, I look forward to trying out this service.
